Deleting your NeuroSpicy Pulse account
NeuroSpicy Pulse is operated by Varnish Labs LLC. You can delete your account and associated data at any time using either of the methods below.
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (fastest)
The quickest path is to delete your account directly inside the NeuroSpicy Pulse app on iOS, Android, or the web app.
- Open NeuroSpicy Pulse.
- Tap the avatar in the top navigation to open Settings (or visit Settings from the side menu on web).
- Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account and all associated data are removed from our systems immediately when you confirm.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, or you'd rather we handle it, email support@neurospicy.sh from the email address associated with your account.
In the email, include:
- Your account email address (so we can locate the account)
- The subject line: Account deletion request
We will:
- Confirm receipt within 2 business days
- Verify the request from your account email
- Delete the account within 7 business days of verification
- Send you a confirmation email when deletion is complete
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:
- Your profile: display name, avatar, timezone, notification preferences, theme selection, and any other profile settings
- Your check-ins: every energy and mood log you've ever submitted
- Your activity logs: every activity entry and its associated energy/mood readings
- Your friend connections: all friendships you've established and all friend requests you've sent or received
- Your trophy progress: all earned trophies and streak history
- Your push notification subscriptions: any device tokens registered for reminders
- Your feedback submissions: any text you've sent through the in-app feedback form
- Your authentication identity: the account record itself, removing the ability to sign back in with the same email
Deletion cascades across all tables in our database. Once deleted, the data is not recoverable.
What is retained
We retain a minimal amount of information for legal and operational reasons:
- Billing records (if applicable): Apple and Google control subscription and purchase records, not us. If you've made a purchase, the receipt is held by the App Store or Play Store under their retention policies. We retain a deletion timestamp tied to your prior account ID so we can honor refund requests routed through the stores.
- Server logs: standard web server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps, user agent strings) are retained for up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention. These are not tied to your name or email after deletion.
- Aggregated, anonymous analytics: counts of total check-ins, sign-ups, and feature usage that have already been aggregated and cannot be traced back to an individual user remain in our analytics.
We do not retain any of your personal energy, mood, activity, profile, or social data after deletion.
